ROLAND
Die Roland Corporation, bekannt als Roland, ist ein Unternehmen, das elektronische Musikinstrumente herstellt.
Es wurde am 18. April 1972 von Ikutaro Kakehashi in Osaka gegründet. Es gibt zwei Variationen hinsichtlich der Herkunft des Namens dieses Unternehmens. Nach der ersten Version stammt der Name vom französischen Epos La Chanson de Roland. Nach der anderen, wahrscheinlicheren Hypothese widmete sich Roland dem Export und suchte nicht nach den Schwierigkeiten, die durch die Aussprache seines ersten Unternehmens, Ace Electronic Industries Inc., entstanden waren. Ikutaro Kakehashi suchte nach einem Handelsnamen, der in der EU leicht ausgesprochen werden konnte verschiedene Länder des Landes. 'Export. Er hätte sich dann in einem Telefonbuch an den Namen Roland erinnert und nach einem amerikanisch klingenden Namen mit dem Buchstaben 'R' gesucht.
